No amount of fire he rains down upon the daemons can express the anger and guilt Ignis feels. And when the bond shatters within him, all Ignis can do is scream as he drives his daggers through the daemon in front of him.

He's not sure whether he's crying or breathing heavily after that. Getting shot would hurt less. Ignis doesn't bother to defend himself from another attack, feeling his body stumble backward violently and hit the stairs as he falls down.

His daggers don't disappear. Instead, they clatter down the wet and cold stone. The sound of daemons screaming, rendered motionless from the rising dawn and light fills the air.

Ignis doesn't bother to pick up his weapons. It hurts. Only sits up to let the others know he's alright.
